Where libraries have existing data in AUSMARC format, they will require this data to be converted to USMARC at some point. Noesis can assist in this process by providing standard AUSMARC to USMARC conversion using sophisticated mapping and punctuation programs, as well as provide custom tag and subfield processing, for example to perform special processing on local or non-standard tags.

Noesis has performed ausmarc-to-usmarc conversion for well
in excess of twenty Australian libraries , many of which
have had their records loaded to ABN. Many of these
libraries have had special requirements for their
conversions and Noesis has been able to satisfy these in
all cases.
